尚萬強不僅沒有被送回監獄，主教甚至還奉送了更多銀器給他，替他向警探保證，並以"兄弟"稱呼之

為此深受感動的尚萬強幡然悔悟，礙於持有的黃色身份證會讓世人認定他是有前科的危險份子，尚萬強撕掉了證件，並決心重新開始不一樣的人生

啊，我個人沒有看過悲慘世界的電影(安海瑟威和休傑克曼演的版本)，但是為了翻譯這首也稍微聽過金鋼狼老兄的版本，嗯......忽然可以理解為何他的評價不好了

百老匯的這個版本情感收放自如、旋律錯落有致，雖然尚萬強大部份都是低音演出，偶爾才有激昂表現，可是......休傑克曼的版本，比起這首，簡直平穩地像念經一樣......
