珂賽特的監護人，泰納第夫婦是一對精明且貪得無厭的旅館經營者

 

當初芳婷就是帶著女兒來此投宿，結果被他們發覺有機可趁，於是花言巧語讓芳婷卸下心防，留下珂賽特讓他們照顧，自己獨自前往城市打拼，因此種下日後不斷被敲詐的禍因 ── 更悲慘的是芳婷到死都不知道自己淪落風塵所賺得的一切都被泰納第夫婦拿走了，珂賽特則飽受虐待

 

 

註的部份，Master and a half的解釋可以參考這篇文章，它的用法原本是讚美用語，意思是佼佼者，比如你吃到一塊超級美味的蛋糕，就可以說這蛋糕是Cake and a half；所以如果直接翻譯，就是「最完美的旅店老闆」

不過呢，看看前後文、泰納第的自述和泰納第夫人的嘲弄，就可以知道這裡是在反諷泰納第，所以典範一詞被我括號起來了，可別以為真的是在稱讚他哦
