開頭的管風琴演奏是本作中我最喜歡的一段旋律，聽的時候記得注意音量，最初那一響可是很大聲的
延續第一首序章的結尾，修復的水晶吊燈被吊起並點亮，這時舞台也隨之更換，轉變回1870年的佈置
1870年此刻的歌劇院正在進行彩排，當紅女伶Carlotta (卡兒洛塔)和第一男高音Piangi (皮安吉)分別擔任彩排劇中的男女主角
此劇中的女主角，克莉絲汀，此時還只是一個小小的伴舞者及合唱團員；雖然她已經開始接受魅影的秘密指導，但還沒有機會表現
